I have now left Majestic Lincoln to pursue a new career closer to home. I just want to say a massive thank you to all my lovely customers, new and old, for supporting me, and the store, during the 5 years I have worked there. Sometimes know as the label with the leaf because of the distinctive hand-sketched leaf of the particular vine of the grape variety. These wines are staples of Majestic and really are fantastic wines!
Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills - Because of the higher altitude in this area it helps to produce a softer, more elegant expression of Chardonnay. It embraces the New Style wave of Chardonnay but provides more texture through the on-lees maturation and barrel-fermentation. It is bone-dry with crisp acidity and notes of lemon on the palate.
Primitivo, McLaren Vale - This has been grown in the McLaren Vale since the 1960's and is believed to be from some of the oldest clones in South Australia. It is a variety that ripens unevenly which creates a whole range of characteristics. Jammy fruits on the palate with savoury undertones.
Shiraz, McLaren Vale - It is everything you want from a hallmark McLaren Vale Shiraz. Plummy, black cherry and savoury spice finish. The wines age really well and also will last at least three to four days once opened.
These wines will be the main feature of our tasting counter this weekend so pop in and have a taste!

We will be closed on Monday 19th September for the Royal Funeral, to allow our colleagues to pay their respects.
We will be back open, as usual, on Tuesday 20th September.

As summer draws to an end come and join us for our tasting event that celebrates all of the best Summer wines of 2022! Whether it is a refreshing rose, or a big juicy red for the barbecue, we will have an array of wines open to taste so we can hold on to the last days of Summer before Autumn is upon us.

If you have pre-paid for your ticket in advance, great! If you haven't, but have notified us you are attending, no problem! If you are thinking of coming but are not sure, please do just try and let us know in advance so we are aware of numbers.
Raffle tickets are £1 a strip on the door and will be drawn at around half 7pm. There will be some nibbles of cheese & bread available.
